Heat. Cool. Power.
One smart system.
A cold-climate heat pump that delivers free central air conditioning with your heating upgrade, plus rooftop solar sized to your home and battery backup for Winnipeg's winter outages. We design it, install it, and handle the grant paperwork.
The system that makes economic sense in Manitoba.
Manitoba Hydro is cheap (about 10¢/kWh) and gas is cheap ($8/GJ). That kills the simple payback story for solar alone — but combined with a heat pump, free A/C and outage backup, the package wins on the things that matter long-term.
Free central A/C
A heat pump cools as well as it heats. Replaces a $4,500–$6,500 standalone A/C install.
Outage resilience
Battery backup keeps your furnace blower, fridge and lights running through Winnipeg storms.
Rate-lock for 25 years
Manitoba Hydro raised rates 4% in January 2026. Your solar production isn't on their rate schedule.
2.5–4.5 t CO₂ avoided / yr
Manitoba's grid is 99% hydroelectric — electrification here is a real CO₂ reduction.
Built like a contractor, not a salesman.
The solar & heat-pump market in Winnipeg is full of single-trade installers who subcontract the rest. We're the opposite — every trade on staff, every piece of equipment certified for the rebate stack.
Every trade in-house
Master electrician, HVAC tech, plumber and carpenter on staff — no subcontract handoffs that drag jobs out by weeks.
Certified equipment only
We install only CSA-certified panels & inverters and NEEP-listed cold-climate heat pumps. That's what unlocks your rebates.
Manufacturer dealer programs
Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor track, Silfab solar dealer, Tesla Powerwall installer pipeline — you get tier-one warranties, not flat-rate parts.

A note on the federal Greener Homes programs
The Canada Greener Homes Grant ($5,000 retrofit) closed to new applicants in 2024. The Greener Homes Loan (interest-free up to $40,000) closed October 2025. Don't trust a contractor who's still advertising it. The active program today is the income-tested Greener Homes Affordability direct-install — we can help you check eligibility.

You don't lose the money — you bank it.
Solar + heat-pump retrofits don't just lower your bills. They raise the appraised value of your home. Lawrence Berkeley Lab studied 22,000 U.S. home sales and found a consistent $4 per watt installed resale premium for owned solar systems. Heat pumps add another $10,000–$15,000 per Nature Energy's peer-reviewed study.
For a typical Halib Standard install in Winnipeg, that's $26,000–$43,000 of resale uplift on a $46k net investment — plus the bill savings, free A/C and outage resilience you've been collecting all along.
Selling at retirement? Over a 15–20 year hold, your cumulative bill savings + free-AC value + remaining resale uplift recover $23,500–$42,500 of the $46,100 net cost. The system effectively pays for itself.
Standard package recoup table
7 kW PV · 13.5 kWh battery · 2.5-ton heat pump · $46,100 net cost

|---|---|---|---|
| 7 kW Solar PV | $15k–$25k | $10k–$15k | $4k–$8k |
| 13.5 kWh Battery | $1k–$3k | $0–$2k | replaced |
| 2.5-ton Heat Pump | $10k–$15k | $7k–$11k | $3k–$5k |

Premium decays with system age and depends on local electricity rates — Winnipeg figures are at the conservative end of the range due to Manitoba's low hydro rate.
Yes, your gas furnace stays.
Modern cold-climate heat pumps deliver real heat down to −25 °C, but Winnipeg gets 8–15 nights a winter colder than that. Below the heat pump's economic balance point — typically −22 to −25 °C — your existing high-efficiency gas furnace takes over automatically. We call this dual-fuel hybrid and it's how we cover 90% of your heating hours with clean, cheap hydroelectric heat while keeping the safety net of natural gas for the deepest cold snaps.
Anyone selling you a "no more gas furnace, ever" pitch in Winnipeg is either over-promising or hasn't read a January temperature chart. Our system runs the right tool for the right temperature, every hour, automatically.
